Paul Pearlstone

Surveillance Party 4th April

An amazingly successful gig that was a collaboration between some of the first people to ever hear of our Silent Disco - Surveillance Party.

The night started off with some bands which included No Illuminati, Two Headed Man and Froyo and headed into some pumping dance from DB Drops.

Just after midnight, we switched to silent disco, with Chris Gato on Deep House Red, Paul Pearlstone with a mash up of Old Skool Hip Hop and Trip Hop, DB Drops continuing his set in silent mode, like the legend that he is!

The lights and conversations went deep into the night and early into the morning.

Luna, our mascot and DJ De Vine cameoed too.

Agustin, Ace, and Laivi played out from 9PM till late AM on Thursday night to a crowd of around 50 last night.

One of the really interesting things we did was people were given a mission to find out something really interesting about someone they didn't know and tell us about it.

This diverts from the usual cliquey party atmosphere and gets people conversing.

Having good conversations are the start of anything of value.

... I love the social aspect, it’s really amazing ...

Scotty played some tunes which made crowds go green with joy.

We are being discovered by people from everywhere. Especially the neighbours telling us to "keep the noise down. Jkjk."

Silent Disco is the way to go. And its so good to see good music appreciated.

Sorry clubs, 'can't touch this!'

Silent Disco at Bondi

We shook the sand off our shoes and boogied late into the night at Bondi Pavilion opposite the Maccas.

Everyone was welcome, even teddy bears.

With DJ Izzy pumping out psytrance and Ace doing old skool tunes the people danced till their feet hurt.

At some point the police arrived, were pleased there was no trouble each and every time.

Thanks everyone for making this happen and treating our home ground at Bondi with the love and respect it deserves. PLUR
