It’s been just over 2 months since my last post and I’m finally back with a new post. Part of this time has been spent coping with lockdown, but also moving house. Those were not the reasons why I haven’t posted. My last post was quite well received but it didn’t meet my expectations of possibly catapulting this blog into the heights of hundreds or more readers. I spent hours on it and then got slack. What was necessary, was that I just keep posting and growing the blog because consistency will keep this blog in peoples minds so they won’t forget and not notice new posts after 2 months. I got slack and didn’t post, which actually makes for a great topic and is actually what I wanted to post about in the first place.
I was watching an interview between !llmind and the polarising rapper Russ, who many see as just too corny and Russ basically said, just keep dropping tracks every week til something hits. He said people will remember and jump on the good tracks and the fans will enjoy everything else, so there’s no loss and that method of grinding is how you build something up. The same goes for Youtubers for example. The Idea should be to keep posting until something goes viral or gets real views.
This ethos is what I need to apply to this blog in order to build something. I’m just going to have to post all the good content, information and thoughts I can til something hits. It may not even just be readers and people liking and sharing, this could lead to other opportunities and other people of note taking notice. Everything you do in life should be about building up and pushing forward and not constantly making moves to get ahead will keep you stuck where you are.
I recently suggested the Idea of Spotify advertising for the site. It would be a great way to directly target headphone users and people listening to music. These are the moves we need to be making, and we need to put in more work and effort during this time to help people in lockdown who need our services. I’m going to start working more on this and posting more interesting content. This is just a short update so I can put more effort and thought into future posts. Stay safe and feel free to hit us up anytime if you want to hire headphones.
